Aaron Rail, a specialist rail services company and part of the Aaron Engineering Group, has successfully supported the TRU West Alliance in the completion of a major 30-day blockade, delivering essential infrastructure works as part of the transformative Transpennine Route Upgrade programme.
The 30-day blockade represented a significant milestone in the delivery of the TRU West programme, requiring intensive coordination and collaboration between multiple contractors and disciplines to complete essential upgrades to the rail infrastructure within the extended possession period.
Aaron Rail’s teams worked alongside principal contractor Amey and other alliance partners throughout the blockade period, delivering specialist civil engineering and infrastructure works that contributed to the successful completion of the programme. The extended possession enabled the delivery of works that would otherwise require multiple shorter possessions, improving efficiency and reducing disruption to passengers.
The successful completion of the blockade demonstrates the commitment, collaboration, and resilience of all partners involved in the TRU West Alliance, with Aaron Rail proud to have played its part in this significant achievement for the programme.
The Transpennine Route Upgrade is a transformative, multi-billion pound railway programme that will better connect passengers in the North between Manchester, Huddersfield, Leeds and York, bringing more frequent, more reliable, faster, and greener trains to the region.
Aaron Rail continues to support the TRU West Alliance across multiple sites, delivering specialist works that enable the successful delivery of this major rail enhancement programme.
