Aaron Rail, a specialist rail services company and part of the Aaron Engineering Group, has successfully completed a Road Rail Access Point (RRAP) installation at the GHE Compound for the TRU West Alliance, supporting principal contractor Amey in the delivery of the Transpennine Route Upgrade programme.
The RRAP installation provides a critical access point for road-rail vehicles, enabling construction equipment and materials to be safely transferred between the highway and the railway infrastructure. The facility is essential for supporting ongoing construction and maintenance activities at the site.
Aaron Rail Site Manager Ben Bailey oversaw operations on site, ensuring the installation was delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The project was completed with minimal disruption to ongoing activities, with the team maintaining excellent safety standards throughout the works.
The installation involved groundworks preparation, construction of the concrete apron, and installation of the RRAP components including chain deflectors, rubber panels, and associated safety equipment. All works were completed in accordance with Network Rail standards and specifications.
Aaron Rail’s RRAP installation capability supports clients across the rail infrastructure sector, providing essential access facilities that enable the safe and efficient delivery of construction and maintenance projects. The company’s experienced teams deliver these specialist works to the required standards while maintaining focus on safety and quality.
The successful completion of the GHE Compound RRAP installation demonstrates Aaron Rail’s ability to deliver critical infrastructure works in support of major rail programmes, working collaboratively with principal contractors to ensure project success.
