The Challenge

Aaron Group was required to carry out site works to support the installation of palisade fencing and prepare surrounding infrastructure for access improvements. The project demanded careful coordination of fencing installation with assessment of existing site conditions, including infrastructure beneath the weighbridge area and pulling pit installations. Works needed to identify and address any defects or issues requiring corrective action whilst preparing the site for future access improvements to the pedestrian gate. Early identification of remedial requirements was essential to ensure appropriate specialist contractors could be engaged and reinstatement solutions planned effectively.

What We Did

Aaron Group delivered comprehensive site preparation and fencing works, combining installation activities with proactive infrastructure assessment. Our scope included:

  • Palisade Fencing Installation – installation of palisade fencing to secure the working area and support ongoing site operations
  • Weighbridge Excavation Inspection – inspection of works beneath the weighbridge area, identifying a large excavation requiring reinstatement
  • Pulling Pit Assessment – assessment of existing pulling pit infrastructure, identifying a raised pit requiring corrective works to restore correct levels
  • Reinstatement Solution Development – identification of appropriate solution to install screw plate and reinstate surface with tarmac beneath weighbridge
  • Surfacing Contractor Coordination – engagement and coordination with specialist surfacing contractors to assess and plan required reinstatement works
  • Pedestrian Gate Access Preparation – preparation works to improve access to the pedestrian gate

The team proactively monitored site conditions throughout delivery, identifying areas requiring corrective action and ensuring early coordination with specialist contractors to implement the most appropriate reinstatement solutions.
