Aaron Rail and Aaron Fire & Security, specialist companies within the Aaron Engineering Group, have commenced a collaborative project at the new Hill House Sidings, marking the beginning of operations at the newly developed railway facility.
The project involves the full installation of fire alarm systems across the newly developed railway sidings, with both companies working closely together to deliver an integrated solution that combines rail infrastructure expertise with specialist fire protection systems.
Aaron Rail is providing the civil engineering and infrastructure support for the installation, whilst Aaron Fire & Security is delivering the specialist fire alarm system design, supply, and installation. The collaboration demonstrates the benefits of Aaron Engineering Group’s multi-disciplinary approach, enabling seamless integration of services across different specialist areas.
Progress on day one was strong, with approximately 400 metres of new cabling successfully installed to begin energising the fire alarm system. The cable installation provides the critical backbone for the fire detection and alarm system, connecting detectors, call points, and alarm devices across the sidings facility.
The fire alarm system installation will ensure the new Hill House Sidings facility meets the required fire safety standards, providing early detection and warning capabilities to protect the infrastructure and personnel using the site. The works are being delivered to ensure full compliance with relevant fire safety regulations and railway industry standards.
